SMS terms
Last updated October 4, 2026
These terms cover text messages sent by TenantClerk on behalf of your landlord or property manager.
What the messages are
Messages about your tenancy and your rental unit: replies to requests you send, maintenance updates, appointment scheduling and reminders, and notices about entry to your unit. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
How you opt in
You agree to receive these messages when you give your mobile number to your landlord or property manager for tenancy communication, or when you text a TenantClerk number first. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of renting.
How often
Message frequency varies. It depends on how often you contact us and on what is happening at your unit.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one message confirming it. After that we will not text you unless you opt in again, for example by replying START.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message, or email support@tenantclerk.com.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Emergencies
Text messages can be delayed. In an emergency, call 911.
Privacy
We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our privacy policy.
